Our history
1936.
1936 was the milestone year for Nikolaos Sioutis with the inception of his business activity, establishing the first craft industry in the field of feta cheese production. A product which during the war but also later experienced an upward trend, due to its quality and nutritional value, thus led to the production process expansion throughout Magnesia prefecture.
The increasing demand made it imperative for the craft industry to transition into a factory unit to meet production needs. In the 1960s, Themistocles, the son of the founder, joined the company. His arrival marked a rise in sales in the large urban centers of Athens and Piraeus, as well as a greater distinction of the products from that era, highlighted by the title “Excellent Quality Feta”.
1960.
1970.
In 1970, the company took its first steps in the marketing of animal feed raw materials, aiming to satisfy the nutritional needs of the animals owned by the dairy farmers.
In 1980, Themistocles Sioutis intensified the marketing of agricultural products and animal feed, expanded the company by investing in storage facilities and further developed its production line.
1980.
1995.
With the company’s change of direction, the first investments were made in 1995. The animal feed and grain silo factory marked the new phase of what is now SIOUTIS S.A., and collaborations with large flour mills and livestock breeders shaped its operational model.
The first decade of the 2000s marked the entry of the family’s third generation into the business. Siblings Nikolaos, Anna, and Chrysovalantia led the company toward new business development and expansion, incorporating technological equipment through investments from 2004 to the present day.
